Moon notes

$9

The Moon is about a quarter of Earth’s width and about 30 Earths away. People landed long ago. A new flyby happened in 2026. A new landing is still ahead.

The Moon is a rocky world about a quarter as wide as Earth, on average about 239,000 miles (384,000 kilometers) away.

Apollo crews landed between 1969 and 1972. Then they stopped. Artemis I in 2022 flew Orion with no one inside. Artemis II in April 2026 flew four people around the Moon and home. They did not land.

A new landing is a later mission. If someone tells you the date is certain, check NASA.
