Paper rocket

$7

Cut, roll, and mark the stages. Then say the quiet part: the payload is the small piece at the top. Most of the rocket is fuel.

Roll a paper tube. Mark a line a third of the way up. Everything below the line is stage one: tanks and engines that drop away when they are empty.

The small cone at the top is the payload. It is the reason for the trip. Most of the paper is not the payload. Most of a real rocket is not the payload either.

This model does not fly. The game Pad to Orbit is the place to try fuel, engines, and payload as a toy.
